Monday, Jan. 5: Due to overwhelming call volume, ECAT is currently experiencing intermittent issues with the FlexTransit phone line. We are working to address the issue as quickly as possible.

In the meantime, customers are encouraged to contact ECAT at [email protected]. All approved ADA and Transportation Disadvantaged clients will receive priority when booking trips.

ECAT apologizes for the inconvenience and appreciates the public’s patience while we work to resolve this matter.

ADA Transportation Application

ADA Transportation eligibility is determined by a certification process. Escambia County Area Transit (ECAT) coordinates with Escambia County Community Transportation to process ADA Transportation certification and re-certifications. To apply for ADA certification, fill out an ADA Application Form. This form must be completed with the Medical Verification portion signed by a licensed physician.  Once Escambia CCT receives the completed ADA Transportation Certification Application with the Medical Verification completed, they will contact you to schedule a face-to-face interview. Transportation to and from the interview will be provided at no charge to the applicant. The interview will take one to one-and-a half hours. The application will be reviewed and the interviewer will discuss your travel ability and limitations. You will be notified of your eligibility within 21 days after your interview. You will be mailed written notification of your eligibility, along with your identification card. After notification and if eligible, trips cannot be scheduled for 48 hours. ECAT, not Escambia County Community Transportation, makes the final determination of eligibility in all cases.
