FlexTransit is operational but is currently experiencing a high demand for service. ECAT is actively working to expand service capacity to meet the demand, but FlexTransit scheduling may be limited for some users until services can be expanded. 

Priority is being given to rides for eligible individuals who qualify for ADA Complementary Paratransit Service and the Transportation Disadvantaged Program, which are programs for individuals with disabilities or those who do not have access to any other transportation resource

ECAT Bus Involved in a Motor Vehicle Accident on Oct. 28.

Escambia County Area Transit (ECAT) 1459 bus was involved in a motor vehicle crash with a truck on Route 52 at Fairfield Drive and Palafox Street. The bus was stationary at the time of the crash. Four passengers were on the bus. Three were transported to a local hospital by Escambia County EMS. Escambia County Sheriff's Office and Florida Highway Patrol responded to the scene. No other routes are affected by the crash. ECAT buses will continue to run as scheduled.
Escambia County Area Transit (ECAT) bus #1459 was involved in a motor vehicle crash with a truck on Route 52 at Fairfield Drive and Palafox Street. The crash occurred on the morning of Thursday, Oct. 28. The bus was stationary at the time of the crash. Four passengers were on the bus.
