FlexTransit is operational but is currently experiencing a high demand for service. ECAT is actively working to expand service capacity to meet the demand, but FlexTransit scheduling may be limited for some users until services can be expanded. 

Priority is being given to rides for eligible individuals who qualify for ADA Complementary Paratransit Service and the Transportation Disadvantaged Program, which are programs for individuals with disabilities or those who do not have access to any other transportation resource

Escambia County Area Transit will resume operations Saturday, Jan. 25, with temporary modifications to the normal fixed route. Due to potential hazardous conditions from Tuesday's winter storm, buses may be delayed or detoured.

Escambia County Area Transit will resume operations Saturday, Jan. 25, with temporary modifications to the normal fixed route. Due to potential hazardous conditions from Tuesday's winter storm, buses may be delayed or detoured.

ECAT Route Modifications:

  • Route 59x will be suspended on Jan 25.
  • Route 47 will not service Longleaf Drive.
  • Route 2 will detour from Cervantes Street at “L” Street.

Regular service will resume Monday, Jan. 27.
