In an abundance of caution, the Santa Rosa Island Authority (SRIA) has canceled the Pensacola Beach Island Trolley service for Sunday, Aug. 29, 2021, due to the remnant weather from Hurricane Ida.

Trolley service will resume again on Monday, Aug. 30, at 4 p.m.

The free trolley service is operated by Escambia County Area Transit (ECAT), and runs daily from 4 p.m. to midnight through Labor Day on Sunday, Sept. 6.

The trolleys help alleviate traffic congestion by allowing visitors to park anywhere and have a convenient way to tour the whole island.

The trolley system, funded by the SRIA, is free to all riders. To see a map of all trolley stop locations, or for more information, go to visitpensacolabeach.com/trolley-information/.
