WHAT IS FLEX TRANSIT?
FlexTransit offers a convenient and affordable on-demand shared ride service in Escambia County, Florida, operating Monday through Saturday from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. This service pairs multiple passengers traveling in the same direction into a single vehicle, providing efficient transportation. FlexTransit also connects passengers from their pickup location to the nearest fixed-route bus stop.
Using the FlexTransit app, you can enter your pickup and drop-off locations to be matched with a vehicle heading your way. The fare is $2.50 per ride. Customers who prefer to pay in cash can do so on board, but drivers only accept the exact fare and cannot provide change.
FlexTransit vehicles are ADA accessible and can accommodate up to 8 passengers. Please note that bike racks are not available. Children under 5 years old or weighing less than 80 pounds must use a car seat provided and secured by the accompanying adult. Additionally, children under 13 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. FlexTransit also offers travel training to all individuals who have the ability to use the fixed-route services.

Reservations can be made Monday – Saturday from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Same-day trips are not available. Please make your reservations at least one day in advance. Trips can be scheduled up to seven days in advance.

The reservationist will ask if a mobility aid (wheelchair, walker, cane, etc.) will be used or if there will be an approved collapsible shopping cart. An approved collapsible shopping cart must not exceed 30” tall, 18” wide, and 18” deep (not including handle and/or wheels).
Please tell the reservationist if you have a PCA, Escort, or Service Animal.

ADA Fare: $2.50
TD Fare: $2.50
Personal Care Attendant (with ADA riders): Free
Personal Care Attendant (with TD riders): $2.50
Exact fare must be paid when you board the vehicle. Drivers do not make change and are not allowed to go into purses, pockets, or backpacks for customers’ fare, even with a customer’s permission.

FlexTransit Tickets
Passengers can purchase FlexTransit tickets Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. – 6 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. At the ECAT Customer Terminal. Each ticket is good for a one-way fare.
